Apple Will Not Launch 7-inch Ipad Next Year

New York investment firm Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair said today that next year Apple will launch 7-inch iPad tablet.

Amazon Kindle Fire and Nook's hot drive a 7-inch tablet PC market demand, so there are rumors that Apple will launch 7-inch tablet. Apple previously have considered seven inches iPad, but ultimately chose the 9.7-inch screen.

Tony Blair today said: "Do not expect Apple will launch a 7-inch iPad. We believe that Apple has tested 7-inch screen, but we believe that Apple will not launch at least 2012, a 7-inch screen of any device."

Blair said the Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is extremely opposed to the 7-inch screen, 9.7 inches is the minimum standard.

Jobs in 2010 earnings conference call said: "It is natural to think of, compared with 10-inch screen, 7-inch screen can only provide 70% of the benefits, but is not the case, we do not produce 7 inches Tablet PC is not because we do not want to set the price too low, but because the screen is too small to better demonstrate the software as a software-driven company, we must first take into account the software strategy. "

Blair believes that Apple is not necessary to fill the 7-inch screen by the mid-market, but can be achieved through lower prices. Blair said: "iPad 3 listing, Apple iPad 2 can be low cost to meet the needs of mid-market, for example, 16GB version can be reduced to 349-399 U.S. dollars."
